Get Ready!

May 31st – June 9th, 2024

Taco week delivered by Skip and Margarita Madness poured by El Tequileño kicks off May 31st and runs for ten days with participating restaurants throughout Vancouver .Restaurants are offering a signature “Taco” and a  signature ” Margarita” on their menu.

One dollar from every Taco and Margarita sold during those ten days will be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and CityReach Care Society.
CityReach Care Society is a multi-faceted and multi-site Canadian charity serving thousands of vulnerable individuals, children, and families across Greater Vancouver. Home to one of Vancouver’s freshest food banks, ‘Food For Families’, over 3,000 individuals are supported weekly, using rescued, donated, and highly nutritious food.

How $1 can make a difference at CityReach: Multiply your dollar ten times! Thanks to our innovative food rescue partnerships, we are able to provide $10 of fresh and nutritious food to a family for every $1 donated. Each year, CityReach receives over $3 million in in-kind food donations, meaning that $0 is spent on purchasing food. Your financial donations then be multiplied a full 10 times through our low-overhead, high-impact program, Food For Families.

Charity Partners

The best part about Taco Week & Margarita Madness is the opportunity to give back to our community by supporting two local charities.
In our first two years we’ve raised close to $ 20,000 for our charitable partners and this year we hope to improve on that! We are estatic that a dollar from every taco and margarita sold during Taco Week and Margarita Madness will go to benefit Harvest Manitoba and CanU! One dollar donated to Harvest provides snacks or a light meal to hungry Manitobans accessing foodbanks or school meal programs. For every $3.35 donated one full meal is provided to Manitobans in need (so think about getting 3 tacos instead 😊)

Harvest Manitoba
