May 31st – June 9th, 2024
Taco week delivered by Skip and Margarita Madness poured by El Tequileño kicks off May 31st and runs for ten days with participating restaurants throughout Edmonton .Restaurants are offering a signature “Taco” and a signature “Margarita” on their menu.
One dollar from every Taco and Margarita sold during those ten days will be donated to the Edmonton Food Bank and the Leftovers Foundation
Feeding people is what we do best at Edmonton’s Food Bank. Initiatives like Taco Week allow us to serve food and hope to people in need. With more than 34,000 people accessing a food hamper monthly every dollar makes a difference. What better way to help feed our community then by enjoying a meal that also triggers a gift to the Food Bank. For every $1 donated, Edmonton’s Food Bank can supply a can of soup to someone in need. The Leftovers Foundation’s mission is to ensure that surplus good food gets to community members who need it, rather than ending up in landfills to rot. Leftovers’ Rescue Food program makes sure good food keeps moving to people who need it. Their program empowers volunteers to connect food donors with service agencies distributing food to vulnerable community members. In 2023, Leftovers Foundation rescued over 1,050,000 lbs of food and delivered it to over 300 local organizations.
Every $1 contributed to Leftovers’ Rescue Food program saves our service agency partners over $7 in food costs, which means they have more funding available to help members of our community meet other basic needs, support themselves and their families, and thrive.
Join us May 31st to June 9th to taste delicious tacos and margaritas created by restaurants all over the city, then help crown the 2024 winners!

The best part about Taco Week & Margarita Madness is the opportunity to give back to our community by supporting two local charities.
In our first two years we’ve raised close to $ 20,000 for our charitable partners and this year we hope to improve on that!
We are estatic that a dollar from every taco and margarita sold during Taco Week and Margarita Madness will go to benefit Harvest Manitoba and CanU!
One dollar donated to Harvest provides snacks or a light meal to hungry Manitobans accessing foodbanks or school meal programs. For every $3.35 donated one full meal is provided to Manitobans in need (so think about getting 3 tacos instead 😊)
